Wistron recorded August turnover of NT$58.48 billion ($1.8 billion), up 24.3% YoY, giving year to date revenue of NT$387.34 billion ($12.2 billion), down 0.3% YoY. The company shipped 1.8 million notebooks (up 20% MoM), 550,000 LCD monitors and 350,000 LCD TVs.
Inventec posted August sales of NT$37.78 billion ($1.2 billion), up 15.5% YoY, resulting in year to date turnover of NT$276.29 billion ($8.7 billion), up 12.8% YoY. The firm saw notebook shipments rise 21.4% MoM to 1.7 million.
Meanwhile, Quanta Computer saw August notebook shipments increase by 800,000 (25%) to 4 million and Compal Electronics saw a similar rise, with an additional 600,000 notebooks resulting in shipments of 3 million.
