Taiwan’s Lite-On is investing NT$10 billion ($320.3 million) on expanding its facility at the Nantze Export Processing Zone in Kaohsiung. The work includes building a new manufacturing plant for automotive electronics and an operational centre for its cloud computing, industrial automation and networking divisions.
Lite-On will begin work on the manufacturing in January 2017 and expects it to be operational by mid-2019. The operational centre will be built after this, and is expected to begin operations by 2021.
