AMC Speeds Dolby Cinema Deployment

US-based cinema chain AMC and Dolby have, due to very positive guest reactions, announced plans to accelerate the deployment of Dolby Cinema technology. The companies will install Dolby systems at 100 AMC locations before the end of 2017: seven years ahead of schedule. They are also working to expand the original agreement, signed in 2015, to more than the 100 cinemas. 22 locations are open to-date; eight more are under construction; and 50 are expected to be opened this year.
