The Superbook (LDM Product Roundup – Vol 23 No 19) by Andromium, a laptop ‘shell’ for a smartphone, reached Kickstarter last month. It has now passed several goals, one of which means that users will have the option of purchasing a model with 1920 x 1080 resolution (usually 1366 x 768) for an extra $30. An extra USB port and larger battery have also been added.
HTC has raised the price of its Vive VR headset in the UK. It now costs £610 ($815), up from £560 ($750), due to the depreciation of the pound. HTC’s smartphones and accessories, however, are so far unaffected.
