Qualcomm has announced the successor to its Snapdragon 820 chip called the Snapdragon 821. Like its predecessor, the 821 is intended for use on mobile devices. It is intended to deliver faster speed, higher efficiency and greater application performance.
According to Qualcomm, the 821’s Kryo quad-core CPU enables 10% higher performance than the 820, reaching speeds of 2.4GHz. It also shares features with the 820, like the X12 LTE modem.
