According to the OLED Association, Truly Semiconductor will begin backplane production at its G4.5 OLED fab in June, and full display production in September. The line can produce up to 15,000 substrates per month, and could double that if the first line is successful.
Construction is also expected to begin on a new G5 LCD fab this month, with a maximum monthly capacity of 50,000 substrates; a second phase would double this at a later date. The fab is expected to produce capacitive touch screens and automotive display panels.
