OLED smartphone panel revenues are projected to grow just 2% YoY in 2025 despite a 6% increase in unit shipments, according to Counterpoint’s latest report.

The modest revenue growth follows a strong 2024, which saw 10% revenue growth on 33% unit increases driven by Chinese manufacturers, Apple and Samsung. Analysts attribute the 2025 slowdown to expected declines in both rigid OLED panels (-2%) and foldable OLED displays (-7%).
“We expect flexible OLED smartphone panel revenues to increase by 4% YoY,” said Counterpoint Associate Director David Naranjo, noting that AI capabilities and new flagship models from major manufacturers will support continued momentum.
For 2026, researchers anticipate a significant rebound in foldable display shipments, projecting 54% growth largely driven by Apple’s anticipated entry into the foldable device market.
