Samsung Display is experiencing significant growth in its OLED panel production for notebooks, with shipments expected to reach 10.7 million units in 2025, according to a recent market analysis by UBI Research.

The company’s notebook OLED panel shipments reached approximately 8.4 million units in 2024, marking a 55% increase compared to 2023. This growth trajectory is expected to continue, with projections indicating shipments will surge to 18.3 million units by 2026, a 71% increase from 2025 forecasts.
Market expansion is being driven by several key factors. Samsung Display supplies OLED panels not only to Samsung Electronics but also to major overseas notebook manufacturers including Dell, HP, and Lenovo. The application of OLED to Apple’s iPad Pro in 2024 has already benefited the market, and the expected integration of OLED into Apple’s MacBook Pro in 2026 is projected to fuel rapid market growth of over 40% that year.

The variety of OLED notebook products has increased dramatically, from just 12 types in 2020 to 80 types in 2024. This includes innovative form factors such as foldable notebooks from Lenovo and Asus, with slideable notebooks also in development.
