S[quadrat] GmbH, a German LED display maker, has developed a series designed to replace outdoor LCD screens. The ‘Ocean’ series complements the existing ‘Sky’ range, which are designed for indoor use.
Ocean-series modules are available with 3.9mm, 4.9mm, 6.25mm and 7.8mm pixel pitches. They have a high refresh rate and – says the company – do not suffer from moiré.
Each module can be installed by a single person; they measure 500 x 500 x 78mm and weigh 7kg. They use industrial-strength magnets and are rear-serviceable. Each is IP65-certified on the front and rear. Brightness is 5,000 cd/m².
