Cree LED, a brand of Penguin Solutions, and Daktronics have entered into a multi-year, global patent license agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Daktronics receives access to Cree LED’s patented LED display technologies for the duration of the license term.
Cree LED has over three decades of experience in LED die and packaging and holds a significant portfolio of related patents. The license is intended to provide Daktronics, a supplier of large-scale LED display systems, with the assurance that its products will not be subject to patent-related disputes based on the licensed Cree LED technologies.
Details of the licensing terms remain confidential. The agreement aims to reduce legal uncertainties and allow both companies to focus on delivering LED display solutions within an established framework of intellectual property rights.
