BOE and Omniply Technologies have announced a new agreement to jointly develop materials and processes for future display manufacturing.
It is the next phase of a collaboration that began nearly two years ago. BOE has been integrating Omniply’s technology into its flexible OLED manufacturing efforts, with plans to expand its application into other areas like MicroLED and sensors.
BOE lays claim ro being the second largest supplier of flexible displays by volume. It continues to invest and expand upon a strong technology base with the help of surging Chinese smartphone vendors collaborating with the company. Omniply’s work with the company has been showing successful results and it sounds like they two companies are now ramping up efforts for future development.
