The upcoming model updates for the BMW i4, an all-electric vehicle, and the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, which includes both electric and combustion engine options, cover a broad spectrum of enhancements. Both models will feature design tweaks such as a new BMW kidney grille and updated LED headlights, including an adaptive option with non-dazzling matrix high beam. Interior upgrades include a more digital and reduced button approach, enhanced seat materials, and the latest BMW iDrive system which improves user interaction with the vehicle through features like QuickSelect, which simplifies the menu navigation.
The updated 2025 models will feature enhanced digital interfaces. BMW has minimized the use of physical buttons by incorporating the new QuickSelect feature in the iDrive system, which allows for various car functions like climate control and seat and steering wheel heating to be controlled through the center display.
Standard interior features include sport seats in perforated Sensatec and an optional Vernasca leather trim available in five colors, including a new bi-color option. The steering wheel design has been updated to a two-spoke, polygonal rim with illumination, and the M Sport Package includes a flat-bottomed, three-spoke M leather steering wheel with distinctive markings and stitching. These updates are integrated with the BMW Operating System 8.5, which supports enhanced navigation and connectivity through the My BMW App.
Performance-wise, the BMW i4 will introduce a new variant with electric all-wheel drive, expanding its lineup which already includes several models offering different power outputs and range capacities. For the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, the updates are not just cosmetic but also mechanical, with all combustion engine variants now standard with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, and options for M Sport suspension and brakes for enhanced driving dynamics.
Additionally, these models will include improved assistance systems for driving and parking, ensuring safety and convenience. The connectivity features within the vehicles are also advanced, with the introduction of personal eSIMs and the use of the 5G mobile standard, augmenting the car’s integration into the digital lives of its users.
