Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) and E Ink have announced a strategic partnership to co-develop and market products using ePaper. DNP will use its Japanese sales network, developing products aimed at sectors of the retail, financial and transport markets, such as smart cards. E Ink will provide the ePaper products, as well as engineering support. The focus will be on Japan and Southeast Asia.
Two types of products will be developed: one using E Ink’s Prism colour-changing film, for promotional displays; and another using E Ink’s Mobius displays in NFC-enabled smart cards.
