IDTechEx says that the market for printed and flexible electronics in automotive applications will grow from around $400 million this year, to more than $5.5 billion in 2026.
There are many technologies in the market. Some, such as windscreen defoggers, will see minimal growth. Others, such as OLEDs and in-mould electronics, will drive the market.

OLEDs, specifically, will grow from about $150 million to $500 million between 2016 and 2018. Displays will represent the majority of the market; OLED lighting will be worth about $25 million in 2018.
