Toshiba has introduced two new notebooks in its premium Kirabook line, running Windows 10. While they are mostly identical, the Kira-10J (Windows 10 Pro) and Kira-10H (Windows 10 Home) differ in screen resolution (2560 x 1440 and 1920 x 1080, respectively), thanks to the use of IGZO technology on the former.
In addition to resolution, the 10J differs in colour (factory-calibrated), and the inclusion of touch.
Both units have 13.3″ displays and are housed in a magnesium casing. Battery life is up to 13 hours. Windows 10 runs on Intel Core i7 processors (Broadwell), with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Intel HD Graphics are used. HDMI and USB 3.0 (x3) ports are featured.
Toshiba is selling its new Kirabook units now. The 10J starts at €1,500 and the 10H at €1,300, ex VAT.
