BenQ’s new smart signage display (ST550K) is able to handle content creation and management, as well as multiple ways of getting content to the screen.
The 55″ unit features BenQ’s X-Sign software, which can be used to customise, edit, manage and play digital content. It is intended as a plug-and-play solution, with 30 custom templates.
A closed version of Android runs on the ST550K, which prevents the download and use of unauthorised applications. Android also supports USB playback.
The display can be managed through a local network, at the same time as other units, using BenQ’s Multiple Display Administrator software. Office documents can be displayed using the installed WPS Office app.
The ST550K is UltraHD, with a slim bezel. Content can be delivered through MHL or wirelessly through BenQ’s QCast app (requires a separate dongle).
The display is available worldwide now.
