AMD’s net loss in the first quarter of the year widened to $180 million from $20 million in Q1 of last year. Turnover for the quarter fell 26% year on year to $1 billion from $1.4 billion a year earlier. The company said that computing and graphics segment revenue decreased 20% sequentially and 38% from Q1 2014. The sequential decrease was primarily due to lower desktop and notebook processor sales and the annual decrease was driven by lower desktop processor sales and GPU channel sales.
