ViewSonic’s VG2437Smc monitor is designed to support video conferencing, with an integrated 2MP webcam, noise-cancelling microphone and dual 2W speakers. The firm estimates that video conferencing use will grow by 16% this year.
Designed for use (in conjunction with a suitable PC) with Microsoft Lync, Skype, Google Hangouts, Cisco Jabber and Webex, Citrix Gotomeeting and Viber, the monitor is well-suited to conferencing applications.
A flicker-free backlight and low blue light mode are integrated, supporting extended use. The stand, which can tilt (-6° – 25°), swivel (360°), pivot (90°) and is height adjustable (0 – 135mm), is also designed for comfort.
The 24″ display uses a VA panel; it is 1920 x 1080 resolution; a 3,000:1 contrast ratio; 178° viewing angles; and a 7ms (grey-to-grey) response time. Brightness is 250 cd/m². DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA and USB 2.0 (x2) connections (for headphones and microphones) are featured.
