Joled, the joint venture between Sony, Panasonic and Japan Display, will begin to produce AMOLED panels in 2017, according to sources speaking to the Japan Times. The panels will be sized between 10″ and 20″ and will be for use in laptops and tablets. The company plans to spend ¥100 billion ($844.5 million) on a factory in Japan, possibly going public to raise funds.
