Another Apple 1 Under the Hammer

Last month (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 43), Bonhams sold a working Apple 1 computer at auction, for more than $900,000. Now another has appeared at Christie’s auction house, and is expected to be sold for more than $500,000. The device is operational and is said to be the only such surviving computer recorded as having been sold directly by Steve Jobs to a customer from his parents’ garage in Los Altos, California.
