43″ Overtakes 42″ in TV Size Popularity

According to sources in Asia, both LG Display and AUO have seen 43″ TV panels pass 42″ units in popularity over the last year. Due to this demand, other makers – such as BOE – are expected to mass-produce 43″ panels in the second half of 2015. Samsung Display will follow in early 2016. Many of the panels are being produced in G7.5 fabs and shipped to China. Innolux and CEC Panda, meanwhile, are pursuing production of 45″ and 48″ panels, respectively.
