Samsung Display has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qualcomm to bolster its foothold in the automotive OLED market. The agreement sets the stage for Samsung Display to potentially supply OLED panels for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Experience Development Platform (CEDP), a key pillar of the Snapdragon Digital Chassis Solution.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Samsung Display will provide a 34‑inch 6K (6,008 x 934) wide OLED display for the CEDP demo kit. The expectation is that the two companies will be co-market the solution and value of OLED technology to car companies around the world. The companies at tested the waters at CES 2025, jointly demonstrating the Snapdragon CEDP kit featuring Samsung’s OLED technology.
