In a well known orchestrated fashion, Apple released the iPhone 5 in San Francisco on September 12th. As everyone expected, the iPhone 5 has many new features while staying very close to the old look of the iPhone 4. Is this a breakthrough in the Smartphone world? In a short statement – yes and no. Apple is not necessarily known as being on the forefront of every new technology that is available; however in some instances they really push the envelope. We saw this in the release of the retina display that brought stunning imagery to the masses, with a resolution that is beyond the visual acuity of many consumers. We are seeing a similar pattern in the release of the iPhone 5.
