China Leaves Apple Behind as it Overtakes US Smartphone Market

IOn the cusp of the Apple iPhone5 announcement, it’s interesting to note that China, is forecast to overtake the US in smartphone shipments and become the world’s top market according to recent data released by IDC. Perhaps even more remarkable, in a separate report from IHS iSuppli, Apple iOS devices currently rank seventh (7th) with just 7.5% market share in China smartphones.
