In writing a Display Daily article during a major show or conference, the usual modus operandi includes visiting the exhibits, meeting the exhibitors and reviewing the press releases. The idea is to determine the single most interesting and important piece of news and use this item as the basis of the article. Well, at the ongoing CES show, the usual procedures have been overwhelmed. There is so much interesting and important news related to 3D that it is impossible to pick just one item to report. In a sense, the news is the size and scope of the 3D news! Here is an abbreviated summary of the news headlines just from this week. Note that the point being illustrated in the creation of this summary is that there are multiple developments related to every aspect of the 3D "food chain" and that a wide variety of both large and small companies are participating.
